Building a Steel Structure in Maine: Permits, Zoning & What You Need to Know

Maine has adopted building codes at the state level with local enforcement. Snow loads are significant, especially in northern and mountainous areas. Some rural towns have limited code enforcement, making them more flexible for steel buildings.
